To protect our patient's health and well-being, we are making the following changes immediately:
We are now pleased to offer telemedicine virtual visits for our patients in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. All appointments scheduled until 4/30/2020 will be converted to virtual visits. Virtual visits are an easy and convenient way to meet with your allergist without leaving your home. Please call the office at (734)771-1742 or (313)565-3565 to request and appointment. Patients receiving biologic therapy (Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, and Dupixent) will continue to receive their injections by appointment.
Modified hours until further notice:
Tuesday: 9 am to 1 pm
Thursday: 9 am to 1 pm
Friday: 9 am to 1 pm
For all shot patients:
Walk in shots are not available. ALL SHOTS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All appointments may only be made 48 hours in advance in order to screen for illness. We are asking all patients with fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or contact in the last 14 days with someone with confirmed or presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19, please refrain from entering the office.
We are adjusting allergen immunotherapy intervals:
We strongly urge patients over 65 years old to delay allergen injections for a minimum of 6 weeks.
Patients who are on monthly injections should come every 6 weeks to continue on the current dose.
Patients who have been building to the maintenance dose will be maintained at the current dose every 4 weeks.
We will not start any new allergen immunotherapy for the next 2-4 weeks.
If you would like to discontinue immunotherapy at this time and restart in the future adjustments including rediluting or remaking serum may be required.
