Dearborn Allergy
& Asthma Clinic, P.C. provides medical services for the diagnosis, testing, and medical management of asthma, allergic,
and immunologic conditions. These allergic conditions include allergic rhinitis (hayfever), asthma, sinus disease, chronic
cough, ear allergies, allergic lung disease, hives, contact skin allergy, stinging insect allergy, eczema, food allergy, medication
allergy, and other allergic and immunologic diseases. Our physicians have extensive training in allergy and clinical immunology.
Our nursing staff has training and expertise in the testing for allergic diseases as well as administration of allergy immunotherapy
(allergy shots), breathing tests, and other studies. Patients may be referred by their personal physician for evaluation,
or may make an appointment for evaluation without physician referral, depending on
insurance plan.
Dearborn Allergy &
Asthma Clinic, P.C. strives to give the most up-to-date care of allergic and related diseases. Testing, if indicated and performed,
involves minimal discomfort. Skin testing can be done at any age. If necessary, laboratory studies can be ordered to be performed
at local laboratories. Usually, testing can be completed at the initial visit. At that visit, results will be discussed and
treatment plans reviewed and initiated. Patients referred by physicians will have a complete summary with diagnosis and recommendations
sent to their referring physician. More detailed information will be sent to patients prior to the first visit.
Physicians at Dearborn Allergy
& Asthma Clinic, P.C. are Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology-the only Board recognized by
the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify expertise in Allergic and Immunologic disease. In addition, our
physicians subscribe to a number of medical, allergy and immunology journals to stay abreast of recent advances in allergy
and immunology, and attend continuing education conferences to be able to provide the latest, most efficient and effective
evidence based medical care. They participate in the Maintainence of Certification Program. The American Board of Allergy and Immunology-A Conjoint Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine
and the American Board of Pediatrics-is the ONLY Medical Specialty Board that Certifies individuals to be trained experts
in the field of allergy, immunology, and related disases. To become Board Certified, a physician must first be Board
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Pediatrics, then must spend two years
in an approved Fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology, and then pass the Examination in Allergy and
Immunology-a training period totaling at least five years and two Board Certifications.

Diane L. Baranowski, M.D., is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology. She graduated
from Wayne State University School of Medicine, completed a residency in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital, and
completed a two year Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Baranowski sees both pediatric
and adult patients.

James G. Fordyce, M.D., is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology. He graduated
from Wayne State University School of Medicine, completed a Pediatric Residency at Childrens Hospital of Michigan, and completed
a two year Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Fordyce sees both pediatric and adult patients.
Dr. Fordyce presently is Chief of the Section of Allergy at Oakwood Hospital.
